At Veltiston AI Greece, we are a passionate team of engineers building real-world AI and machine learning applications. Together with our colleagues at Veltiston AI Morocco, we form the Veltiston.AI Group, a cross-national organization that is steadily growing.
Our group was founded by Professor Dimitris Bertsimas of the MIT Sloan School of Management, who also founded Dynamic Ideas, a Boston-based company with over 25 years of history. Professor Bertsimas leads a broad ecosystem of companies, primarily based in Boston, which apply advanced Operations Research and Machine Learning across a wide range of sectors — including finance, supply chain, routing, revenue management, healthcare, legal, and education.
Within this ecosystem, Veltiston AI plays a central role as the AI and software development hub. We co-engineer advanced analytics platforms and decision-support tools that support innovation across various clients, portfolio companies, and domains.
About this role:
As a AI Engineer, you will:
Architect and build NLP applications using RAG, MCP servers, and knowledge-building pipelines.
Improve model performance through post-training optimization techniques and prompting optimization techniques.
Develop Python backend services, APIs, and AI components with clean, maintainable code.
Contribute across the full stack, including databases, authentication, and front-end integration.
Manage AI model and software deployment via CI/CD, containerization, and production monitoring.
Conduct rigorous model evaluation and implement secure, ethical AI practices.
Document system designs and technical decisions for cross-team clarity.
We are looking for someone with :
Degree in Computer Science; Master’s in AI or related field strongly preferred.
Solid theoretical grounding in AI fundamentals: machine learning theory, optimization, and evaluation methodologies.
Clear understanding that AI extends beyond LLMs and prompting strategies.
Strong Python proficiency for backend development and AI system implementation.
Hands-on experience with full-stack development concepts and practices.
Practical knowledge of NLP, RAG architectures, and retrieval systems.
Experience with post-training optimization and knowledge-building techniques
A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and good work ethics
Good to have :
Experience with non-relational databases (e.g. Redis)
Interest in contributing beyond coding, including taking initiative in project planning and communication.
